Polk County, Florida - ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) is a key function to the operations of Emergency Communications. Support to served agencies in need of Communications.

 

We are trained to use common and up to date communications equipment, no matter what kind it is or who it belongs too. 
We will get the message through to where it needs to go!
 

Our focus is on Amateur (Ham) Radio, Emergency Management, GMRS Interoperability, Communications and Community Services.
We are the Primary communications resource for Polk County in the event of an emergency as outlined by the West Central Florida Emergency Communications Plan.
