Our Mission:

To provide organized Amateur Radio communications support to disaster agencies in emergency situations and/or where their normal communication channels become overloaded and/or inadequate to support their mission.  Our services will only be provided when a county or official agency requests our assistance

Polk County, Florida - ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) is a key function to the operations of Emergency Communications. Support to served agencies in need of Communications. We provide ESF-2 communications at any level.

We are trained to use common, up to date communications equipment, no matter what kind it is, or who's communications system it is belongs to. 
We will get the message through to where it needs to go!
 

Our focus is on Amateur (Ham) Radio, Emergency Management,  GMRS Interoperability, Communications and Community Services.
We are the Primary communications resource for Polk County in the event of an emergency as outlined by the West Central Florida Emergency Communications Plan.
